Help fund the new Zach Braff film *UPDATE*

From Vulture:
The brains behind Garden State and the Garden State official soundtrack, Zach Braff, wants to make another movie, and he wants you to help. As he explains in the cameo-rich video below, he wants to avoid using financers who would want to protect their investment by demanding final cut and dictating casting. So after seeing what the Veronica Mars people did, he, too, is trying to raise money on Kickstarter by tapping into millennials' all-consuming nostalgia. His goal is $2 million by May 24. Giveaways range from access to a production diary and a copy of the script before the film premieres ($10) to a speaking role in the film ($10,000). As described, the film, Wish I Was Here, is kind of like a sequel to Garden State, insomuch as, like GS, the lead character is admittedly autobiographical. The film follows Aidan Bloom (Braff), a struggling actor in his thirties who decides to home-school his kids by "[scrapping] the traditional academic curriculum and [coming] up with his own." Also, in one scene he wears a real wallpaper-y shirt.

UPDATE: It's been fully funded after only 4 days!
