Yep, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been renewed by FXX and will run for at least 12 seasons. Season 10 is due to air this Fall, so you jabronis better be ready for more of the gang through 2016 (and hopefully beyond).

New season starts on my birthday (September 4) on the brand new FXX. 10 teasers were just released, but I'll just post the longest two below since there's a lot of overlap; the rest are available here.

Bad News: Only 2 seasons of 'Always Sunny' left!

That's right: in 2014, after 10 seasons, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia will come to an end. Like the title says, this is bad news, but at least the show will go out on top and not overstay its welcome. This is all according to a recent Rolling Stone interview with Glenn Howerton:

Are you really quitting after ten seasons?

"Yes. There’s a certain point where you wear out your welcome and we don’t want to do that. We want to leave them wanting more. We spend a lot of time trying to find new lines to cross. We’re not trying to offend people…but we’re looking to surprise them. I think we’re proud of what we’ve done so far, so it’s time to stop. I’m sure there are already a few people who are like ‘Jesus Christ is that show still on? Go away.’”

FXX will launch on September 2nd, with the 2 comedies anchoring the debut. 2 more seasons of hilarious shows and another comedy channel? Sounds great!

The facade of Paddy's Pub is apparently pretty popular

It's been shot in several other TV shows/movies/commercials, including one of my favorites Parks and Recreation. I noticed it right away while watching Parks but never bothered to do any research to see if it were the same location. Woah, what?!?

I just learned while reading Inside Pee-wee's Playhouse by Caseen Gaines that Lynne Marie Stewart, who plays Mrs. Kelly on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, also played Miss Yvonne on Pee-wee's Playhouse. My mind is blown. I already knew that Lawrence Fishbourne played both Morpheus and Cowboy Curtis, and that Phil Hartman had a role, but I never expected the same actress to play both Charlie's mom and "The Most Beautiful Woman in Puppet Land". You learn something new everyday!

Some new info about It's Always Sunny

Read the full article (it's not that long!) at Philly.com, but I'll highlight some key points:

• Mac and Dee's (Rob McElhenney and Kaitlyn Olson's) son Axel loves trash trucks, which lead to an episode idea.
• Said episode is called "The Gang Recylces Their Trash" and it will be out later this season.
• The episode deals with a trash strike in Philly, and the gang ends up repeating a sceme similar to the one in "The Gang Solves the Gas Crisis, though they are self-aware of this.
• If you didn't already know, Fat Mac is no more.
• The show will run at least through 2013, and the cast is in talks for a 10th season.
• Only 10 new episodes for the new season.
• This Thursday's premiere is called "Pop-Pop: The Final Solution" in which Dennis and Dee deal with their dying Nazi grandfather.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia returns for season 8 this Thursday at 10pm on FX, followed by the season 4 premiere of The League, which you should also watch if you haven't already.

Diddy to guest star on Always Sunny

Wait, what?

Yep, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Sean "Diddy" Combs will guest star on the upcoming season (October 11th) of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. He's set to film his scenes in an unknown role this Monday, and will be the series biggest guest star to date. He isn't exactly a comedian, so it will be interesting to see how he works with the gang.

Always Sunny/The League Premiere Date

Unfortunately it won't be this month, but both It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (Season 8) and The League (Season 4) will premiere on FX Thursday October 11th, starting at 10pm. That's a whole hour of hilarious TV right there, I personally can't wait!
