So earlier I posted my NCAA March Madness bracket, for which I used the differential between PPG and opponent's PPG to make all my picks. This did not work out, unfortunately.
However, I also made another bracket for the hell of it, in which all of my picks were randomly picked by a computer. The winner? UCONN. MOTHER F*CKING UCONN. So after actually spending time to pick all of the games, I did worse than a COMPLETELY RANDOM brackets. I wound up finishing 867th out of all of CBS' entries this year, which was well over a million.
In conclusion based on this highly scientific study, I declare March Madness brackets bullshit. It clearly doesn't matter what teams you pick, because you will never win. Sorry!

My 2014 March Madness Bracket
I usually fair pretty well every year picking these, but never really had a strategy other than picking mostly by seeding with a few obligatory upsets thrown in for good measure. I never liked to have all #1 or #2 seeds in the Final Four, either. This year I decided to pick strictly based on the difference between PPG and Opponent PPG, with a few exceptions (Creighton, SF Austin, NC Central, Mercer). Based on this, Louisville emerged on top (over Florida) with a differential of 21.1 PPG. Check out all my picks below, and wish me luck!

Temple Owls for the win!!!
I wish I was able to watch the game instead of working today, but nonetheless congrats to the Temple Owls for advancing to the round of 32 in the NCAA tourney. After attending a Division III school for undergrad, it's pretty neat to be a part of a Division I school during March Madness. Good luck to the Owls in the next round! Recap below, and write-up here.

Space Jam 2?
Starting Lebron James? Interesting! Here's the tweet from James, we'll see if this wish becomes a reality:

Congrats to the 76ers!
I don't post about/follow the 76ers much, but regardless of that a big congratulations go out to the team for upsetting the top seeded Chicago Bulls in the first round! It was only the fifth time in NBA history that an 8 seed upset a 1 seed (though the Bulls did have 2 star players out for most of the series). Too bad they're playing the Heat next round... I'm not liking their chances.
EDIT: As pointed out by my friend Gregg, the NBA playoffs use a bracket system for the playoffs unlike all the other sports, so the Sixers will be playing the Boston Celtics in the second round of the playoffs. Much better draw for them, so good luck!

Bill Murray at the Sixers game?
Apparently Bill Murray was in Philly last night, and decided to stop by Game 3 between the Sixers and Bulls at the Wells Fargo Center:

2 #2 seeds upset in NCAA Tournament
Man, people are gonna be pissed tonight! People's brackets are all kinda of messed up now. #2 seeds Duke and Missouri lost to #15 seeds Norfolk State and Lehigh, respectively.

3 for 3
Wins across the board for Philly sports today, can't complain there. Sixers delay the inevitable, Halladay with another gem, and Flyers force a game 7 at home.

Busy night for Philly sports!
Phillies play the Brewers, Flyers face the Sabres in game 3 of the playoffs, and Sixers try to beat the Heat in game 2 of the playoffs. I'll be flipping through the channels for the next few hours!
Phillies lost 6-3 in 12 innings (Kyle Kendrick is a scrub)
Flyers won 4-2, taking a 2-1 series lead (Boosh looked good in net)
Sixers got blown out 94-73, down 2-0 in the series (No chance)
