The "best" of Tom Hanks, illustrated

I put "best" in quotes because I can't exactly call Turner and Hooch and The Da Vinci Code some of Tom Hanks best films, even though he himself was great as always. Would have liked to see A League of Their Own represented, at least. From Buzzfeed

8 Movie Special Effects You Won't Believe Aren't CGI

From Cracked.com, movies include The Dark Knight, Independence Day, T2, The Lord of the Rings, Dracula, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Apollo 13, and Escape from New York.  There's some stuff in there that most people would bet all their money that it were CGI, but they'd be broke.  Some of it just seems like way too much time and effort; had it been CGI I feel it would have been cheaper.
