Maurice Sendak wasn't the only death from yesterday; with the Flyers pathetic loss to the Devils they were eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and my playoff beard ceased to exist. RIP
... his hairpiece was 24. Sorry, had to throw in a BASEketball joke there, it was too good to pass up. But seriously, Maurice Sendak passed away this morning at the age of 83 due to complications after a recent stroke. If you don't recognize the name, he's the author of Where the Wild Things Are (and some other children's books apparently). Ironically, he didn't like children.
