Ron Burgundy to host SportsCenter December 5th

Will Ferrell Ron Burgundy is set to host the 6pm edition of ESPN's SportsCenter on December 5th. I can only hope it will be largely improvised, and have no doubt it will be hilarious.

Will Ferrell will guest-host the 6 p.m. “SportsCenter” in his famous “Anchorman” character on Thursday, Dec. 5, a person with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap.

The person said that the details have not been finalized, but it is unlikely that Ferrell will break from his Ron Burgundy character.

New York?

So, when a washed up New York Yankees catcher having an awful season as a DH gets dropped to last in the line-up -and then proceeds to remove himself from the line-up- it warrants national coverage and almost 10 minutes on SportsCenter??? Seriously? Why do people care so much?  Line-up changes and scratches happen all the time, but apparently it's more important in New York. It's almost as bad as the Brett Favre and Lebron James coverage, which made me want to shoot myself.
