Vince Gilligan on the ending of 'Breaking Bad'

Vince Gilligan recently did an interview with Entertainment Weekly, in which they discussed the ending of the superb Breaking Bad. Much was said, including that there was a possible ending in which EVERYONE died. Could have been interesting, but the way they ended it was perfect. Read the full interview here!

Taping Bad

Believe it or not, this picture of Walt and Jesse is made entirely from duct tape. Check out the close up below for proof!

The Wardrobe of Walter White

Thought you'd stop hearing about Breaking Bad once it ended? Think again! This huge picture is not to cut out for paper dolls, but rather the complete wardrobe of Walter White from the show's entire run. Click to enlarge, and buy a print here

Anthony Hopkins wrote an email of admiration to Bryan Cranston

About his stellar acting performance in Breaking Bad. Here it is in its entirety:

Dear Mister Cranston.
I wanted to write you this email – so I am contacting you through Jeremy Barber – I take it we are both represented by UTA . Great agency.
I’ve just finished a marathon of watching “BREAKING BAD” – from episode one of the First Season – to the last eight episodes of the Sixth Season. (I downloaded the last season on AMAZON) A total of two weeks (addictive) viewing.
I have never watched anything like it. Brilliant!
Your performance as Walter White was the best acting I have seen – ever.
I know there is so much smoke blowing and sickening bullshit in this business, and I’ve sort of lost belief in anything really.
But this work of yours is spectacular – absolutely stunning. What is extraordinary, is the sheer power of everyone in the entire production. What was it? Five or six years in the making? How the producers (yourself being one of them), the writers, directors, cinematographers…. every department – casting etc. managed to keep the discipline and control from beginning to the end is (that over used word) awesome.

From what started as a black comedy, descended into a labyrinth of blood, destruction and hell. It was like a great Jacobean, Shakespearian or Greek Tragedy.
If you ever get a chance to – would you pass on my admiration to everyone – Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Aaron Paul, Betsy Brandt, R.J. Mitte, Bob Odenkirk, Jonathan Banks, Steven Michael Quezada – everyone – everyone gave master classes of performance … The list is endless.
Thank you. That kind of work/artistry is rare, and when, once in a while, it occurs, as in this epic work, it restores confidence.
You and all the cast are the best actors I’ve ever seen.
That may sound like a good lung full of smoke blowing. But it is not. It’s almost midnight out here in Malibu, and I felt compelled to write this email.
Congratulations and my deepest respect. You are truly a great, great actor.
Best regards
Tony Hopkins.

Felina

"I did it for me. I liked it."

Breaking Bad is over. It's done. No more episodes. I may have just finished watching the greatest TV series in the history of ever. Seriously.

The final episode was amazing. I wouldn't change a thing. It brought me almost to tears. Very fitting, very appropriate in every way. Goodbye, Breaking Bad. You will be missed!

The final two episodes of 'Breaking Bad' will be extra long

"I checked & it's official. Last 2 #BreakingBad eps are 75 minutes each w/commercials," tweeted Breaking Bad writer and co-executive producer Peter Gould. "Set your DVRs accordingly. Better still, watch live!"

I've seen other sites claim that this means each episode will be an hour long (actual content), but this won't be the case. About half of the extra 15 minutes will surely be commercials, so look to get around 6-10 extra minutes of Breaking Bad for the next 2 weeks. But hey, that's better than missing out on a few extra minutes!

Joking Bad: Jimmy Fallon's 'Breaking Bad' parody

Once again I'm going to say that Jimmy Fallon has found his calling as the host of Late Night. Any job that allows him to make clips like this Breaking Bad parody is where he belongs. Observe:

'Better Call Saul' moving forward

From Vulture:
AMC and Sony Pictures Television announced today that they're moving forward with the Better Call Saul spinoff of Breaking Bad. The show is planned as a "one-hour prequel that will focus on the evolution of the popular Saul Goodman character before he ever became Walter White’s lawyer."
The series is not a totally done deal, though. Deadline reports that the series order is "pending the complication of Sony TV’s deals with Gilligan, [BB writer/producer Peter] Gould and Odenkirk," and the Sony/AMC statement does not mention any of these three men. It just touts that it has reached a "licensing agreement," and that wasn't an oversight: Sony tells Vulture that the studio has "nothing else to add right now."

Breaking Bad: The Musical?

It was only a matter of time before somebody made a Breaking Bad themed musical; I'm surprised it took this long! The musical covers the story from Season 1 all the way until the end of the first half of Season 5, so spoiler alert obviously. Although if this spoils anything for you, then shame on you. Watch "Walter White and the Amazing Blue Crystal Meth" below!

Breaking Seinfeld?

Video removed from YouTube unfortunately! Instead, here's another "Breaking Seinfeld" video that isn't nearly as good as the removed one.

I call it "The Heisenberg"

I decided to make a shot in honor of Breaking Bad, and I knew it had to be blue:

I call it "The Heisenberg" and it's pretty damn good according to what I was told by my friends (and myself). It's pretty simple to make, too.

2 parts Blue CuraƧao
2 parts Peach Schnapps
1 part Vodka
Mix in shaker with ice
Serve in shot glass
Add a drop of "blood" (Grenadine) before serving
Optional: garnish glass with "meth" (sugar crystals)

For a stronger, less sweet shot, use equal parts Curacao, Schnapps, and Vodka.
