The Simpsons LEGO House

I don't watch The Simpsons much anymore, but I can't deny the appeal of this leaked LEGO set of The Simpsons' house. Based on my own wishful pricing point of 10 cents per piece, this set would run at least $250. In reality it will probably be even more, which doesn't change how much I still want this set:

Full size working LEGO car?

If this is legit, it's amazing. Even if not, it's still impressive.

2 LEGO posts in a row? Sure, why not! This time, however, the set is officially released. Behold, the DeLorean from Back to the Future:

Lego Ghostbusters HQ

The things people make with Legos never cease to amaze me. Take this model of the Ghostbusters Headquarters, along with Ecto 1 and 2, for example. They were made by Alex Jones, who studied both Ghostbusters films, The Real Ghostbusters, and Ghostbusters: The Video Game before starting the 2 month build. Check out some photos below with the full gallery here, and keep reading for more and a video after the jump. (via)

Stormtroopers by Andy Wells

This reminds me a lot of the "Stormtroopers 365" photo series I featured last year, and with good reason. Flickr user Andy Wells has photographed Stormtroopers -both action figure and Lego- in a vast array of situations. Take a look at some of my favorites below, and view the entire gallery here. (via)

Lego DeLorean becoming a real set

I posted about a fan-made Lego DeLorean, from Back to the Future, way back in May of this year, and apparently the set is actually being produced by LEGO. It will be out next year, I'll I have to try real hard not to act like I'm 7 when it does. Pictures below and video after the jump! (From UPROXX)

So that Lego movie sounds pretty crazy

Remember when I posted about the upcoming 3D LEGO movie a little while ago? Your answer is irrelevant, as I'm going to post about it anyway.

Like the title says, this movie (Lego: The Piece of Resistance) seems pretty ridiculous, and the cast keeps getting crazier. Will Arnett, Chris Pratt, Channing Tatum, Morgan Freeman, Anna Farris, and Elizabeth Banks were already announced; that would be a great ensemble as is. But now Will Ferrell, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie, and Liam Neeson are involved, which actually makes this movie exciting and anticipated.

LEGO movie release date pushed up... In other news, there's going to be a LEGO movie?

Pretty sure that's the longest title for a post on my blog...

Anyway, yes, there's going to be a full length Lego movie called LEGO; unfortunately it will be 3D CGI instead of stop-motion. But it has Morgan Freeman voicing a character, and apparently Will Arnett as Batman? I don't know, sounds crazy. It'll be out February 7th, 2014.
