Somebody is making "Bob's Burgers" burgers of the day!

If you haven't seen the cartoon Bob's Burgers yet, do yourself a favor and watch it, if only for the "Burger of the Day" running gag. Every episode features a burger of the day for Bob's restaurant, and it is always a cheesy pun (is there any other kind?). Some of my favorites include "if looks could KALE", "Mediterr-ain't misbehaving", "don't get CREME FRAICHE with me", and Bob's favorite "new BACON-ings - comes with bacon". Someone brilliantly decided to actually make these burgers, and has listed recipes for 12 burgers along with pictures. The next one on the horizon will be the "Child Molester - comes with candy!". My only complaint is the lack of good buns (seriously). Check out a few of them below!

Yes, that is bacon in a sundae.

So how was it? In short, pretty average.  I wasn't impressed by it, but wasn't unimpressed.  It really just tasted like a sundae with bacon in it; it wasn't cohesive.  Once you get passed the whole "OMG BACON IN ICE CREAM? THAT'S SO GROSS!" factor, it really isn't that crazy of an idea. It's just a salty and sweet combination, like many other snacks (chocolate covered pretzels anyone?).  But like I said, it was on OK sundae with bacon on it, which I suppose is what it's supposed to be.  I was expecting more, so I was disappointed in that regard.  Maybe it should have pieces of bacon throughout the ice cream?  Maple syrup?  Regardless, I most likely will not be getting the BK Bacon Sundae again, though I do suggest everyone try one at some point this summer.

Burger King Bacon Sundae

It seems as if Burger King is the latest fast food joint to deliver bacon ice cream to us, following in the likes of Denny's among others.  Only available for the new summer menu, get it while it lasts:

Epic 1,050 strip bacon burger

I think I have clogged arteries just from looking at this whopper Whopper.  This epic burger was ordered from a Japanese Burger King -yes I was shocked it wasn't from America too- where you can pay 100 yen ($1.20) for 15 strips of bacon.  So why not get 70 orders of bacon? It's only another 7,000 yen ($84)! It took 2 hours to build, and weighs in at almost 6 pounds.  Oh, and it's over 14,000 calories.  Check out the comically huge "burger" below and watch the video, more pics and video at Rocket News.
