NFL Picks for Conference Championships

Last week's picks started out horribly, as I was 0-2 after Saturday's games. At one point I thought I might be shut out for the weekend, but luckily I bounced back on Sunday and finished the Divisional Round at a respectable 2-2. They say defense wins championships, but by that logic none of the 4 remaining teams are going to win the Super Bowl; there was a total lack of defense in last weekend's games. There were a ridiculous 276 points scored across the 4 games, for an average of 69 points per game. For reference, that's only 4 points less than the Philadelphia Eagles scored in the entire 2012 season. The lowest point total for a team? 28.

I was fairly surprised that Denver wasn't able to close out Baltimore, as they had their chances. Very surprised at how poorly Green Bay played, but San Fran is showing how good of a team they can be. Atlanta almost blew a 20 point lead, and New England was New England. All 4 games were quite entertaining though. On to the last picks before the Super Bowl in two weeks (unless I decide to pick the Pro Bowl)...

Sunday
San Francisco 49ers at Atlanta Falcons
Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots
